The result of the short poll showed 260 out of 420 respondents (61.9%) agree with the proposal to increase employers’ EPF contribution to 20%.

While respondents may not have considered the impact of the higher contributions to employers, and the greater implications on businesses, the result does reflect a sense of frustration among employees who seek higher income and more sense of security (ability to save more).

It’s time to review the current retirement scheme.
