It would be a challenge to implement the targeted subsidies based on income group alone, given various factors that may influence the actual household income including family size and people who need to work from home. The mechanism for targeted subsidies should be carefully studied and strategized to ensure fairness for all groups, and T20 should not made to feel left out by the government’s initiatives.
